Inspired by a tasty but less-than-satisfying
sandwich from a well known burger place, I went home and created this improved
and enlarged version. Which burger joint? You figure it out.
First, you will need to cook BBQ Chicken Breasts
as shown on the BBQ Chicken Sandwich page. Now
you are ready to make a man-sized sandwich that will not fail to please.
 |
These days, even remote places like Henderson have
par-baked breads available. I use one that is a cross between a baguette and
a French loaf. |
 |
Cut the bread into four pieces. These are not exactly
equal as the tapered ends are slightly longer than the two pieces from the
middle. This is to compensate for the rounding of the ends. |
 |
Now, assemble the remaining ingredients. Your favorite
Blue Cheese dressing (mine is Marie's); Lettuce and tomato; two to four very
thin slices of smoked ham and the section of baguette sliced in half
lengthwise. |
 |
I begin by slathering two heaping teaspoons of Blue
Cheese dressing on each half of the bread. (That's really about two
tablespoons.) |
 |
Assembly is quick and easy! Place the BBQ Chicken breast
on the lower half and the lettuce and tomato on the top half. |
 |
Add the slices of ham |
 |
Success! You now have a BBQ Chicken Cordon Bleu Baguette. |
 |
Add some of your favorite pickles and/or chips and you
are ready to eat! (Oh yes, Uncle Ralph recommends at least three or more
napkins with this meal. I promise that you will not be hungry after eating
this sandwich. |
See you later,
Uncle Ralph
